Chicken (or Turkey) broth for soups and cooking

You can get just little more out of that chicken.
Directions
This is super simple. After you have eaten your first meal and picked the bones clean for all those future meals, save everything else - bones, cartilage, skin, everything. All this can be frozen to combine with future chickens or you can make right away. Anyway - save all that and put it in a crock pot, Add what ever veggies or veggie scraps you have - carrots, celery, onion etc. Add a bay leave. Fill crock and its ingredients with water - cook for 10 hours on low. Pour off the broth and store in fridge for up to 5 days (or can), discard the bones and veggies. Use this broth for a whole assortment of cooking in the week ahead.
