Hey Friend, 

The wait is over ! The best chicken ever is finally here, and its time to order for next week's on Farm Pick up or for the Knoxville Farmers market.
We will be at both.
 
This update provides a summary of expectations for the 2024 season and provides convenient links to your favorite shopping areas.

2024 Chicken Summary    
>  This season will be characterized by fewer whole chickens and more cuts & ground chicken.

>  LBF offers the classic Non GMO bird and the Corn and Soy Free bird for season 24.

> Corn and Soy Free (CSF) is a variant in the drop down menu when you are ordering. 

>  Pricing : CSF Chicken takes 1 week longer to grow and they eat more - So its about $1 a pound higher across all catagories

> 6 Packs will not be offered on all CSF chicken unitil we get a feel for sales and demand.

> Pricing. We work very hard to keep prices stable but this year a pound of chicken will cost you roughly between .55 cents to $1.10 more per pound.

> Transparency. Read  our Blog  summary on the May 24 USDA Pastured Poultry Report see how we stack up to National Prices.   
Placing orders on line & fullfillment choices.       
>  For our knoxville customers particularly, there will be hiccups placing orders for pick up at the market. 

> Key Action #1 is getting the order in and confirmed regardless of the fullfillment choice the site gives you.

> Key Action #2 is use the notes function of the ordering process to articulate details & desires for the order. We read every note when packing.
